On Friday 14 June 2019, our past and present MA Spirituality and MA Spiritual Companionship students officially launched “The Maltese Association for the Study of Spirituality and Spiritual Companionship”. Serving as a platform for the ongoing formation of its members in the field of spirituality and companionship, the Association was founded to serve as a space wherein to encourage awareness, understanding, respect for and support of people’s spirituality, both in professional contexts as well as the wider community, promote the critical study of all aspects of spirituality, education and dissemination regarding these matters, develop inclusive and professional practices, and fostering adequate spaces for discussion about and aiding in spiritual companionship in Malta. The Association was set up as a voluntary, autonomous, and lay organisation and membership is open to all those with a Spirituality degree at Master’s Level or higher.
